• Freshman Zerio delivers game-tying goal in final seconds for Berlin girls' soccer (newbritainherald.com) — Berlin High School athletes delivered big performances this week, highlighted by freshman Lily Zerio's last-second goal that salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Berlin girls' soccer team against Cromwell. The boys' golf team also notched a CCC win over Wethersfield, while Bristol Central runners shined at the Winding Trails Invitational, giving local sports fans plenty to follow. 
• Man charged after CT gas station clerk stabbed 6 times during shoplifting confrontation (wfsb.com) — A gas station clerk was stabbed six times during a confrontation over alleged shoplifting at a Sunoco on the Berlin Turnpike early Tuesday, a corridor many Berlin residents regularly travel. Police say the victim's injuries are not life-threatening, and a Wethersfield man was later arrested at a nearby hotel and faces robbery and assault charges, with a court appearance scheduled in New Britain.
