BERLIN, CT — The Town of Berlin released a short, but laugh-inducing, video on April 12 highlighting the work of its public works department’s parks & grounds crew, using humor to showcase how the town prepares its properties for spring.

The minute-and-a-half video, posted on social media, focuses on horticultural work at town-owned sites, including Berlin Town Hall and other municipal buildings.

It depicts the early stages of planting, from seedlings to the flowers residents will see in bloom in the coming weeks.

The town also highlighted the effort behind seasonal landscaping.

“From tiny seedlings to the flowers you’ll soon see brightening up town hall and our municipal buildings, this is where it all begins. A lot of care, time, and hard work go into every bloom you pass by.”

While describing the video as “a silly parody,” officials underscored the seriousness of the work.

“This reel may be a silly parody, but the work behind it is anything but. We’re so proud to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making our town shine."
