You Will Be Caffeinated, Not Arrested, At Berlin PD Event

Berlin Police will host a 'Coffee with a Cop' event at the Berlin Senior Center.

BERLIN, CT — Berlin residents will have an opportunity to meet informally with local police officers during a “Coffee with a Cop” event scheduled for Wednesday, May 20.

The event will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Berlin Senior Center, 33 Colonial Drive.

Organizers said the event is designed to encourage open conversation between community members and police officers in a relaxed setting.

“Coffee with a Cop” is a national community outreach initiative intended to strengthen relationships between law enforcement agencies and the residents.

It does so by creating opportunities for informal, one-on-one discussions outside of emergencies or enforcement activity.

The Berlin Police Department said all residents are welcome to attend.

The event will allow community members to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know officers serving the community without a formal agenda or speeches.
