An Afternoon of the World's Best Short Films! April 19th 3:00pm

(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 24, 2026 -Bethel, Connecticut) – Asbury Shorts International, New York City’s longest-running short film exhibition and touring show, will present their nationally recognized “45th Short Film Concert” for one day only at Greenwood Features cinema in Bethel, Connecticut on Sunday April 19, 2026 with the first film blasting on to the screen at 3:00pm. An afternoon of world-renowned short films from the past and present. 

Asbury Shorts film concerts combine award-winning shorts from the past with new global festival honorees, creating a rare opportunity for audiences to view world-class short films on a real cinema screen rather than YouTube, smart phones or computers. Academy Award–nominated director Jason Reitman (“Juno,” “Up in the Air,” “Thank You for Smoking” ”Ghostbusters: Afterlife”) calls Asbury Shorts, “the best short-film show I’ve ever experienced.” The April 19th show will feature the best in short film comedy, drama, documentary and animation all in one two-hour sitting.

Greenwood Features is home to the former Bethe Cinema, which served the local area with independent and art films. The theater was purchased by a Bethel couple, Jaimie and Frank Lockwood, and has been re-imagined asa location for family, friends, and anyone looking to enjoy a fun cinema environment. The cinema features 4 screens which will show new releases,classic films as well as independent features.
