New Haven Teen Accused Of Stealing Vehicles In Woodbridge, Naugatuck: Police
The youth also had a fake gun in his possession, according to police.
A 15-year-old New Haven resident is accused of stealing three vehicles, two from Woodbridge and one from Naugatuck, according to police.
Woodbridge Chief of Police Ronald Smith said Tuesday a local police sergeant was on bicycle patrol on Aug. 13 and noticed three abandoned vehicles parked on Hazel Terrace.
Investigators determined two of the vehicles were reported stolen from Woodbridge and one from Naugatuck, police said.

Police shortly afterward saw the male juvenile inside one of the stolen vehicles, according to Smith.
The youth was apprehended following a foot pursuit involving both Woodbridge police and members of the New Haven Police Department Stolen Vehicle Task Force.

According to police, the teen also was in possession of a facsimile firearm and the keys to the two other stolen vehicles.
Woodbridge police charged the teen with three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, and possession of a facsimile firearm.
He was due to appear in New Haven Juvenile Court on Aug. 14.
