• Clean Vessel Act Grant Program Continues to Protect Nation's Waterways (marinadockage.com) — Branford's East Shore District Health Department has secured Clean Vessel Act funding to keep operating its innovative solar-electric pumpout boat, the only one of its kind in Connecticut. The grant helps remove sewage from recreational boats, improving water quality, marine life, and beach conditions along the East Shore and Long Island Sound while supporting cleaner recreation for Branford and neighboring coastal communities.
   

• East Haven high school football preview 2026 (rep-am.com) — Branford football fans will see East Haven visit for a 10 a.m. Thanksgiving matchup on Nov. 26, capping the Yellowjackets' challenging 2026 schedule. East Haven returns eight starters on both offense and defense and leans on a deep backfield, but must navigate several tough SCC road games, including trips to Lyman Hall, Foran, and Branford.
