Bridgeport Library Plans November Crafts, Games And Native American Heritage Activity

Bridgeport’s Burroughs-Saden Library has November games, crafts and a Native American Heritage Month activity planned at 925 Broad St., according to Bridgeport Public Library. The November program calendar lists activities for children and teens.

Family Game Time runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, for ages 4-12. The Friendship Circle project runs during opening hours Wednesday, Nov. 4, through Wednesday, Nov. 25, for ages 10-18. Participants complete a Mission Sheet and submit a keychain-frame design for a professionally printed insert. Teens receive a college application certificate, and participants’ ideas will appear in a community lookbook.

Children ages 6-12 can make layered sand pumpkins from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10. Little Hands, Colorful Fall runs from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 16, for ages 0-5, with caregiver participation required. Dress for messy painting.

Build a Tipi: Where Culture Meets STEAM begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, for ages 7-12. Children will build cardboard tipi models while exploring engineering, geometry and Indigenous history.

Little Learners Storytime meets at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, Tuesday, Nov. 10, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, for ages 0-5 with a caregiver. Slime Time, for ages 5-12, runs from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Wednesday, Nov. 18. Lego Club, for ages 6-12, meets from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, Thursday, Nov. 12, and Thursday, Nov. 19.

The library is closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day and Thursday, Nov. 26, for Thanksgiving. There is no storytime Tuesday, Nov. 24, or Slime Time Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Caregivers must remain in the Children’s Room during programs. Programs are photographed or recorded for social media, so notify staff to decline inclusion. Costs and registration requirements are not specified in the announcement. Questions can go to 203-576-7400, ext. 408.
