Christmas Toy Drive Launched
For nearly 30 years, Bridgeport native Bobby Keller has been helping local children, families, veterans, and pets have a better Christmas.

Bridgeport native Bobby Keller has launched a toy drive to collect unwrapped gifts for boys and girls up to age 15. The toys will be delivered to Bridgeport children in the Crescent Crossing and The Windward communities and at the Brooks Street Emergency Shelter before Christmas. Please drop off unwrapped toys, puzzles and games at Viking Construction, where Bobby is yard foreman. There is a collection box at the back garage entrance, 1387 Seaview Avenue, Bridgeport, which is open 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. from November 12 to December 18.
Since the late 1990s, Bobby has led annual drives to benefit children, veterans, pets and the homeless in the Bridgeport community. Over the years, he has collected thousands of donated toys, personal care items, and pet supplies (including more than 15,000 pounds of pet food), helping bring a little happiness and relief to those in need right here in his hometown. While he does this for personal satisfaction, he hopes others in the community will be inspired to do their own form of “giving back” at Christmastime and throughout the rest of the year.
