Man Injured In Knife Assault In Bridgeport; Arrest Made, Police Say

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 32-year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested on carjacking and assault charges Sunday in connection with an incident in which a man suffered a laceration to the neck in a stabbing, according to Bridgeport police.

The incident was reported at about 8:45 a.m., and the injury is not considered to be a threat to victim's life, police said.

Arrested was Abrnalesa Orellano on the following charges:

  • Second-degree assault
  • Carjacking
  • Interfering with an officer/resisting arrest
  • Reckless driving

The assault occurred in the area of Donald Court and Eckart Street. Additional details were not disclosed.

Bridgeport police are continuing to investigate the incident.
