Driver accused in fatal Connecticut hit-and-run was going 54 mph in 25 mph zone, warrant says (ctpost.com) — Bridgeport residents are learning more about a July 2025 hit-and-run where police say a local man drove more than twice the speed limit before fatally striking an 81-year-old pedestrian at Park and Maplewood avenues. A detailed warrant describes surveillance footage, vehicle damage, and DNA evidence, and notes he's now free on a $300,000 bond ahead of a September court date in Bridgeport.
