Brookfield Board Of Education Seeks New Member After Resignation
Brookfield residents have until Oct. 16 to apply for an open seat on the school board. Here's what to know.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Brookfield Public Schools is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education following the resignation of Dr. Wendy Youngblood.
The school board announced that it will appoint a new member to serve through Dec. 6, 2027.
Interested Brookfield residents must submit a letter of interest and a brief resume outlining their education, professional background or other experiences that would help them serve effectively on the board.

The deadline to apply is Friday, Oct. 16, 2026.
The Board of Education plans to interview applicants shortly after the deadline before selecting a new member.
