• Brookfield doctor sexually abused teen patient, gave him meth, warrant says (newstimes.com) — A Brookfield natural medicine doctor has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a teenage patient and giving him methamphetamine at Sophia Natural Health Center in town. Police say the teen reported a two‑year pattern of drug use and sexual abuse, with investigators recovering explicit messages and photos. The doctor has pleaded not guilty and is due in Danbury court later this month.
   

• Aw shucks: Dolly Parton corn mazes crop up in fields nationwide (mercurynews.com) — A five‑acre Dolly Parton–themed corn maze at Twins BBQ in Brookfield is drawing visitors this fall, with Parton's portrait carved into the field and trivia and photo ops throughout. The maze is part of a North American tribute series supporting her Imagination Library, and the Brookfield owners say her recent death has made the event feel especially meaningful for guests.
