Brookfield Restaurant To Stay Open As Owners Close Litchfield Eatery (patch.com) — Salt 2.0 on Federal Road in Brookfield will remain open and focused on quick-service grain bowls, burritos, tacos, wraps and salads, even as its owners close their longtime full-service restaurant in Litchfield. Brookfield residents can still visit the 802 Federal Road spot Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and order online for convenient takeout.

The maze features Parton's likeness, themed trivia, and plenty of tricky twists—especially in the "hair"—with many visitors dressing in country gear to celebrate the late icon.
   

4. Danbury SID detectives make 2 arrests after month-long drug investigation (fox61.com) — Danbury police arrested a 49-year-old Brookfield man and a Danbury woman after a month-long investigation into alleged drug sales in the city, seizing crack cocaine, a scale and a gun. While the operation centered on a Danbury housing authority unit, Brookfield readers may want to note the local connection and the charges now pending in court.
