• Cheshire High School Ranks Among Top 40 In CT: U.S. News & World Report (patch.com) — Cheshire residents can take pride in Cheshire High School being ranked 39th in Connecticut and 1,827th nationally in U.S. News & World Report's 2026–27 Best High Schools list. The ranking reflects strong performance in graduation rates, college readiness, and support for underserved students, based on 2023–24 data. 
• New Haven officials to provide update on arrest in 2024 homicide (stamfordadvocate.com) — A 17-year-old suspect in a 2024 New Haven homicide is being held on a $2 million bond at Manson Youth Institution in Cheshire while officials prepare a public update. New Haven's mayor and police chief will outline the arrest and investigation at a news conference, but for Cheshire residents the main connection is the high-profile inmate housed at the local state facility.
