• Carrabassett Valley man indicted in girlfriend's death (centralmaine.com) — A woman originally from Colchester Makayla Rose DeSantis, has died after being shot in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, where a grand jury has now indicted her boyfriend on a murder charge. She had moved from Colchester to work at Sugarloaf and was allegedly subjected to weeks of demeaning messages and threats before the March 8 shooting.
