• Speed cameras go into effect at three CT highway work zones today. What you need to know. (courant.com) — State speed cameras are now active in a Route 2 work zone in Colchester, where drivers 10 mph over the work-zone limit will first get mailed warnings, then fines starting June 6. The program aims to slow traffic and protect highway workers, with Colchester among the first three permanent sites and more locations planned statewide over the coming months.
