• Thieves broke into Connecticut home of Revolutionary War spy Nathan Hale, police say (ctpost.com) — A burglary at Coventry’s Nathan Hale Homestead has police searching for a suspect caught on security cameras after cash, objects, and even appliances were stolen from the house and barns, including one used by the Coventry Farmers’ Market. The nonprofit owner, Connecticut Landmarks, says the break-in comes just as major restoration work is underway ahead of the homestead’s 250th anniversary.
