The Danbury Community Orchestra, under the direction of Stephen Michael Smith presents a concert on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 7:30 pm
The program will feature Cherubini’s Fanska Overture and Méhul’s Symphony No. 1 in G Minor. Before Beethoven changed the course of symphonic music, composers like Luigi Cherubini and Étienne-Nicolas Méhul were already writing music with the kind of drama and energy that we attribute to the music of Beethoven. Come explore these dynamic works with the Danbury Community Orchestra.
