Danbury Firefighters Rescue Man From Stuck Tractor — Then Fix His Lawn

The tractor became stuck on a muddy slope, leaving the elderly resident unable to safely get off.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury firefighters came to the aid of an elderly resident after his tractor became stuck on a muddy slope — and their work didn't end once he was safe.

Crews from the Danbury Fire Department's C Shift were called after the man's tractor became stuck in the mud in a precarious position, according to the department. Concerned that the tractor could flip, the man was unable to safely get himself off.

Deputy Chief Halas and his crew helped the man off the tractor and out of harm's way before stabilizing the tractor and removing it from the mud, fire officials said.
