DUI Checkpoint Planned In Danbury
Police announced a DUI checkpoint will be conducted in the city this weekend.
DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint Saturday, Sept. 5, during the evening hours.
The checkpoint will be held in the area of Main Street as part of the department's efforts to keep impaired drivers off the road, police said.
Police urged anyone planning to drink to designate a sober driver, use a rideshare service or make other arrangements to get home safely.

"If you drink, don’t drive," the department wrote. "Please slow down, stay alert, and help us keep Danbury’s roads safe."
