• 8 Displaced, Resident Hospitalized After Danbury House Fire (patch.com) — Danbury residents are reeling after an early-morning house fire displaced eight people, including four children, and sent one person to Danbury Hospital. Firefighters battled heavy flames through both floors and the attic, while one dog was treated for smoke inhalation. Local emergency management and the American Red Cross are helping the affected families as the fire marshal investigates the cause.
   

• 14 Danbury eateries, including a summer camp, cited for serious health violations in July (nhregister.com) — Danbury's health department cited 14 local eateries and camp operations in July for serious food safety violations, temporarily closing Kennedy Fried Chicken and halting food prep at Teja Mart until licenses are secured. • FCIAC Scoreboard, Schedule for Sept. 8-11 (fciac.net) — Danbury sports fans have a busy week ahead, with home matchups in girls soccer, volleyball, and field hockey starting Tuesday, plus several away games through Friday across the FCIAC. Local teams will host New Canaan, Bethel, Warde, and Stamford, giving residents plenty of chances to support Danbury athletes as the fall season kicks off.
