5 Things To Know In Darien: Early Voting In Town Hall Room 119, Water Main Work And More

DARIEN, CT — Early voting for the Nov. 3 election opens Monday in Room 119 at Town Hall, Aquarion's water main replacement continues on Middlesex and Noroton roads, and the Parks and Recreation Commission begins work on its 2027-28 budget.

1. Early Voting Opens In Town Hall Room 119
When: Monday, Oct. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 and 29)
Where: Room 119, Town Hall, 2 Renshaw Road
What to know: Early voting for the Nov. 3 election is in Room 119 at Town Hall, according to the town, and it's open Fridays and weekends during the two-week period even though the rest of Town Hall is closed.

2. Aquarion Water Main Replacement Continues
When: Weekdays; project through 2027
Where: Middlesex Road, Lantern Lane, Noroton Avenue and Revere Road
What to know: Aquarion Water Company is replacing about 5,600 feet of water main on Middlesex Road, Lantern Lane, Noroton Avenue and Revere Road, with work that began Oct. 5 and is expected to finish in 2027, followed by final paving coordinated with the town, according to Aquarion. Drivers should expect minor delays and possible detours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Noroton and Middlesex and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Revere Road and Lantern Lane. 3. Parks And Recreation Commission Starts On FY28 Budget
When: Wednesday, Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Mather Center Cafe Extension, Room 113, Town Hall, 2 Renshaw Road
What to know: The Parks and Recreation Commission will discuss its fiscal 2028 operating budget and capital improvement projects and vote on its 2027 meeting schedule, according to its agenda.
