Law Enforcement Torch Run Coming To Darien
Members of the Darien Police Department will participate in the event and carry the "Flame of Hope" through town.
DARIEN, CT — The Law Enforcement Torch Run will go through Darien on Friday morning, and residents are invited to attend.
Members of the Darien Police Department will participate in the event and carry the "Flame of Hope" through town in support of Special Olympics athletes across CT.
The route will go from South Avenue to Mansfield Avenue, and then to Boston Post Road. The approximate time of the run is 9:39 a.m. to 10:27 a.m., according to police.

"We encourage residents, businesses, students, and community members to come out along the route to cheer on the runners and show your support for this incredible cause," police said, asking attendees to bring signs, energy and cheers.
"Your support helps raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Connecticut while celebrating the determination, courage, and achievements of its athletes," police said.
