Ukrainian Delegation To Visit CT, Including Darien (patch.com) — Darien residents will soon have a chance to hear directly from Ukrainian regional leaders when a delegation led by Donetsk governor Vadym Filashkin visits Darien Library on Sept. 11. The town's new sister-city relationship with Sloviansk underpins this program, which includes a moderated discussion, audience Q&A, and reception focused on governing during wartime and Ukraine's ongoing recovery.
   

2. 2025-26 CT School Test Scores Released: See How Darien Students Performed (patch.com) — Darien families can see how strongly local students performed on the 2025-26 state assessments, with Darien ranking near the top of Connecticut in both English and math. While statewide scores still trail pre-pandemic levels, Darien's results highlight continued academic recovery and sustained high achievement in core subjects.
   

3. Paving Project Scheduled For Darien Town Hall: Details (patch.com) — Darien residents should expect parking disruptions next month as the town paves the lower parking lots at Town Hall, with milling on Oct. 9 and paving on Oct. 12. Access to Town Hall, the field, and the Mather Center will remain open via other lots, but parking in the work area will be suspended and walking surfaces will be rough.

Overnight Car Break-Ins Under Investigation In Darien (patch.com) — Darien police are investigating several overnight car break-ins reported around Hazel Street, West Avenue, and Briar Brae Road, where unlocked vehicles were entered but nothing was taken. Residents are urged to review any home surveillance footage, contact Darien police with information, and consistently lock vehicles and remove valuables, wallets, keys, and key fobs.
   

5. Updated Townhouse Hits The Market In Darien (patch.com) — A newly updated Middlesex Commons townhouse at 10 Hale Lane in Darien is on the market for $1,725,000, offering two bedrooms, three baths, and 1,460 square feet. Set on eleven landscaped acres with a heated saltwater pool and guest cottage, it's close to downtown, Metro-North, Whole Foods, and the emerging Corbin District amenities.
