Several Residents Escape From Darien House Fire: FD

In excess of 50 volunteer firefighters responded to the scene, according to Darien Fire Marshal Robert Buch.

DARIEN, CT — Several people were able to escape from a fire at a single-family home in Darien Tuesday night, according to Fire Marshal Robert Buch.

Fire units were called to a home in the teen-block of Edgehill Drive shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 after a fire alarm activation.

A fire was discovered in the attic, and the Noroton Heights Fire Department was added to the call, Buch told Patch.

Four people evacuated safely from the home, Buch said, although the structure sustained fire, smoke and water damage. No injuries to civilians or fire personnel were reported.

The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
