• Former nonprofit director pleads guilty to stealing over $775,000 from Connecticut charities (wfsb.com) — A former executive director of Durham Middlefield Youth & Family Services has pleaded guilty to federal wire fraud after stealing from two Connecticut nonprofits, including nearly $40,800 in unauthorized purchases while leading DMYFS. Local families who rely on the agency's programs may take some reassurance that the organization discovered the misconduct, fired him in August 2024, and that he now faces sentencing in December.
