Trofimena “Tootsie” (D’Albis) Conway, 93 of East Haven went to be with the Lord, her husband and son on February 28, 2026. She was born September 27, 1932 in New Haven to Anselmo and Antoinette (Ciccarelli) D’Albis. Trofimena is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Conway of East Haven , three grandchildren; Jason Bozzi (Ruth), Joseph Bozzi and Rachel Perdo (Chris Perdo) along with five great grandchildren; Matthew Perdo, Gianna Bozzi, Joe Bozzi Jr., Mia Bozzi and Isabella Bozzi. Trofimena is also survived by her niece, Annette Pelliccia of East Haven along with numerous nieces/nephews and her special caregiver of her last years, Sandi Melendez.
Trofimena is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Conway, a son, William Conway Jr. and her siblings; John D’Albis, Pat D’Albis, Andrew D’Albis and Marie D’Albis.
Trofimena worked at Branford Early Learning Center for many years. She was everyone’s grandmother there. Trofimena enjoyed watching Mass, the Golden Girls, and Wheel of Fortune. Her hobbies were going to the casino, and playing cards, especially with her Wednesday night crew. She enjoyed listening to Italian music and singing along with her great nephew Chris Farrell and spending time with all her friends at East Farm Village. Trofimena’s favorite moments were spending time with her family. Her great grandchildren were her whole world. She made sure to spoil them whenever she could.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday March 4, 2026 from 9 – 10:30 AM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
