Manchester Pollinator Pathway will be on hand to share everything you need to know about protecting and supporting native pollinators right in your own backyard. Whether you have a sprawling garden or a single window box, there is something you can do &mdash; and they will show you how.
And keeping the whole morning buzzing with beautiful sound will be the incredibly talented Grass Routes &mdash; a Connecticut five-piece bluegrass band that has been delighting audiences with bluegrass, folk, and contemporary music since 1980.
All of this alongside our wonderful 50+ regular vendors, the freshest summer produce of the season, Kids Power of Produce Club, and SNAP and FMNP doubling at the market booth.

Celebrating Pollinators at the Ellington Farmers Market

Join us on Saturday, July 4th from 9am to noon at Market Park, 72 Maple St in Ellington for our Patriotic Parade! Kids are invited to dress up in their finest red, white, and blue and make their very own patriotic hats and accessories at the market. Then, at 11am, get ready for a little parade of our own as our youngest market-goers march around Market Park in style.
Setting the soundtrack for the morning will be Tenpenny Bounce, bringing the lively sounds of 1920's and 1930's era jazz straight from New Orleans, Chicago, and New York. It's the kind of music that makes a Saturday morning feel like a celebration.
And speaking of celebrating &mdash; this year marks America's 250th birthday, and there's no better way to mark the occasion than with a market full of fresh, local food. Stock up on everything you need for your Fourth of July BBQ, from meats to sides to sweet treats, all from the farmers and makers who call this community home.

Dear Community Members and Supporters,
The Somers Veterans &amp; Families Legacy Park Ad Hoc Committee, in partnership with the Legacy of Service: Somers Veterans Foundation Inc., is pleased to provide an update on the continued progress of the Legacy Park initiative.
This project remains a long-term community effort dedicated to honoring the service, sacrifice, and legacy of Somers veterans and their families through the creation of a permanent memorial and community space.
We are currently in an active fundraising and development phase, working to advance project planning, stakeholder coordination, and campaign infrastructure in support of the Legacy Park initiative.
At this time, our efforts are focused on:
<ul>
 <li>Capital campaign development and organizational fundraising structure </li>
 <li>Project planning and coordination with professional stakeholders </li>
 <li>Community awareness and engagement initiatives </li>
 <li>Volunteer and partnership development opportunities </li>
</ul>
As part of our phased approach, we are beginning awareness outreach now, while formal local fundraising solicitations will be introduced after the upcoming 250th commemorative celebration, in alignment with community programming and engagement planning.
This approach ensures that early outreach focuses on education, transparency, and visibility, while formal local fundraising efforts are launched at the appropriate community milestone.
We also hope to expand public awareness efforts through participation in upcoming community events, including a proposed informational exhibit at the 4 Town Fair in September. If approved, we look forward to sharing project information, answering questions, identifying volunteer opportunities, and engaging with community members about the vision and progress of the Somers Veterans &amp; Families Legacy Park.
We are grateful for the continued support, interest, and encouragement from the Somers community as this important project continues to move forward.

Join us for the Amazing Herbs Ellington Farmers Market on Saturday, June 20th from 9am to noon at Market Park, 72 Maple St in Ellington &mdash; a morning dedicated to the remarkable power of plants and the incredibly talented people who grow, harvest, and craft with them.
This week's market features an solid lineup of herbal vendors. The CT Herb Association will be on hand to share their wealth of knowledge about all things botanical. Emanating Love Herbary brings an impressive selection of fresh herbs. Samad Gardens Initiative returns with their Connecticut grown and blended healing teas and dried herbs. Seven's Homestead is bringing their beloved fire cider alongside a selection of herbal cleaning products. And Blessed Creek, our herbalist esthetician, will be there with their beautiful plant infused skincare creations.
