Somers To Host Free 250th Anniversary Concert
The band will perform a free concert featuring more than 100 community musicians Thursday evening at Somers High School.
SOMERS, CT — A free patriotic concert featuring more than 100 community musicians is planned this week in Somers as part of the town’s Summer Concert Series.
The Somers Cultural Commission will present the Windham Concert Band for a 250th USA Anniversary Concert on Thursday, July 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Somers High School, 5 Vision Boulevard.
The concert is open to the public and free of charge, according to Somers America250.

The July 2 concert will be held indoors at Somers High School, rain or shine, according to the Somers Cultural Commission flyer.
The performance is part of the 2026 Somers Cultural Commission Summer Concert Series, which is held on Thursday evenings during the summer. Most concerts in the series are held outdoors at The Gazebo, 19 Battle Street, with rain or excessive heat locations moved to the Somers Knights of Columbus Pavilion at 236 Main Street.

Upcoming concerts in the series include Six Pack of Blues on July 9, A Ray of Elvis on July 16, Cobblestone on July 23, Night Shift on July 30, the Jimmy Mazz Variety Show on Aug. 6 and The 60s Experience on Aug. 13.
