Police: Man Stole From Kids’ Bin

The arrest followed a reported theft from a "Cans For Kids" donation bin, according to police.

ENFIELD, CT — A theft from a donation bin meant to help children led to an arrest Sunday, police said.

Enfield police said officers were called around 8 a.m. May 31 for a report that bottles and cans had been stolen from a Connecticut Children’s Hospital “Cans For Kids” donation bin at 105 Raffia Road.

Police said officers used local surveillance cameras and municipal license plate readers to identify a vehicle and suspect.

Joshua Wilcox, of Broad Brook, was later found and detained in Wethersfield, according to police. Enfield police said he was arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police said it was the second incident involving Wilcox at the same location.
