• Enfield Schools Approve $1.44M Plan To Raise Student Achievement (patch.com) — Enfield's Board of Education has approved a nearly $1.44 million state-funded Alliance District plan to boost local student achievement in reading and math and cut chronic absenteeism. The proposal outlines new data tools, staff support, and intervention programs tailored to Enfield schools, and now heads to the state education department for review.
   

• Staples boys soccer stomps Enfield (westportjournal.com) — Enfield soccer fans saw the visiting Staples Wreckers erupt for an 11-2 win in a non-league boys match played in town, despite the Eagles striking first. After conceding an early goal, Staples quickly equalized, surged ahead before halftime, and then poured in five goals in the opening nine minutes of the second half to stay unbeaten.
