Enfield Wants A Robot To Paint Its Athletic Fields (patch.com) — Enfield is exploring a GPS-guided robot to paint lines on its many athletic fields, aiming to reduce manual measuring and striping work for town crews. The Department of Public Works has issued a request for proposals due Sept. 9, as it looks to support maintenance of dozens of fields and hundreds of acres around schools and municipal buildings.

Connecticut part of landmark $18B settlement with Meta (nbcconnecticut.com) — Connecticut has joined a massive settlement with Meta worth up to $18 billion, bringing new safeguards for kids on social media and hundreds of millions to the state. An Enfield mother, Tammy Rodriguez, previously won a related lawsuit after her daughter's death, and officials say the new rules will force Meta to limit late-night use, screen time, and targeted feeds for teens.
