• I-95 North shut down in Old Saybrook due to a 7-vehicle crash, officials say (nbcconnecticut.com) — Emergency crews from Essex helped respond after a seven-vehicle crash shut down I-95 North in nearby Old Saybrook Monday morning, sending ten adults to area hospitals with minor injuries. All lanes near Exit 67 have since reopened, but the incident shows how regional departments, including Essex, coordinate during major shoreline highway emergencies.
