UU Westport: "When Hope Is An Act of Bravery" - Rev. Lindasusan Ulrich

UU Westport: "When Hope Is An Act of Bravery" - Rev. Lindasusan Ulrich

All are welcome to join our congregation this Sunday as we welcome guest preacher Rev. Lindasusan Ulrich, who will preach on the theme "When Hope is An Act of Bravery."

In a time when despair always sits waiting for us, we practice bravery every time we remember possibility and look towards hope — and particularly when we do so together.

Rev. Lindasusan Ulrich (they/them) is a minister, writer, musician, and activist dedicated to radical inclusion, deep collaboration, and courageous kindness. Rev. Lindasusan has served congregations in Connecticut, Michigan, and Minnesota; is a certified spiritual director; and currently serves as a member of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee. They identify as a nonbinary bisexual person of color.

All are always welcome to our Unitarian Universalist services at UU Westport, offered each Sunday at 10 AM, both in person and live-streamed online. Services usually include a time of reflection/prayer/meditation; wonderful music; readings; and a homily or sermon to lend insight into our world and how we interact with it and with each other. The Rev. Carlton E. Smith presides over our time together that includes participation from multiple congregants, guests, and friends. Music Director Micah Krajca leads our choirs. Separate children's programming and nursery care is available during the service, 10-11:15AM. Dress code is as you feel comfortable.

As always, our e-newsletter SOUNDINGS has all the information one needs to find out what's going on in our congregation. Contact the office at 203.227.7205 x 10 if you have specific questions.

UU Westport is a diverse and welcoming religious community, free of creed and dogma, and open to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. We welcome all who are in search of a non-judgmental, loving, safe community to come together to explore what it means to be human and alive in today's world, and how we can best serve one another and those around us, near and far.

Our services take place in UU Westport's iconic sanctuary building, a glorious architectural masterpiece of mid-century modernist Victor Lundy (1923-2024). The building has just undergone a major renovation and is spectacular with its soaring rooflines, sparkling glass walls, set in the woods with the beauty of nature all around it.
