Fairfield resident, public servant, and former small business owner runs on "People Before Politics" platform

FAIRFIELD, CT — Lisa Miro has announced her candidacy for State Representative in Connecticut’s 133rd District, which includes parts of Fairfield and Bridgeport. The seat is currently held by Cristin McCarthy Vahey. Running under the banner “People Before Politics,” Miro is a 33-year Fairfield resident, mother, former small-business owner, and career public servant who says she is motivated to put working families, seniors, and small businesses first.
A graduate of Sacred Heart University with degrees in Business Administration and Political Science, Miro has built a professional career in municipal government, community development, youth services, and public outreach. She has also volunteered extensively with local schools, youth sports programs, veterans’ organizations, and emergency preparedness efforts.
“Lisa Miro is exactly the kind of candidate the Republican Town Committee is proud to support,” said RTC Chair Mike Grant. “She brings decades of real experience in local government and community service, and she understands the concerns of Fairfield and Bridgeport families firsthand. Lisa will be an independent voice in Hartford who puts people ahead of partisan politics, and we are excited to have her leading the ticket in the 133rd District.”
