1. Coyote Attacks Reported In Fairfield: Animal Control (patch.com) — Fairfield residents near Mill Hill Road, Bronson Road, and Whites Hill Lane are being urged to use extra caution after multiple reports of an unusually bold coyote attacking dogs and approaching people and homes. Animal Control and Fairfield Police are actively tracking sightings and asking residents to leash pets, remove outdoor food sources, and report any encounters to local authorities.
   

2. Fairfield RTM will vote whether to approve or change the speed camera program after public pushback (ctpost.com) — Fairfield's Representative Town Meeting is set to decide whether to stay the course or change the town's newly enforced school-zone speed camera program after significant public criticism. Officials say the cameras are improving safety, while some RTM members and residents worry about 24/7 surveillance and data deletion by the vendor. Monday night's vote could reshape how the program operates around local schools.
   

3. JAMES WELLING: CENTO to Open at Fairfield University Art… (broadwayworld.com) — Fairfield University Art Museum will host "JAMES WELLING: Cento," a major photography exhibition exploring classical Greece and Rome, from September 25 to December 12 at the Walsh Gallery. The show brings more than 60 digitally and painterly altered images by Connecticut-born photographer James Welling to town. It's billed as the first American museum presentation of this body of work.
   

4. Fairfield University Alpha Sigma Nu Chapter Recognized as a 2025-2026 Chapter of the Year (fairfield.edu) — Fairfield University's Alpha Sigma Nu honor society has been named a 2025–26 Chapter of the Year for its extensive service and leadership work rooted in Jesuit values. Members supported local families and children, partnered with Fairfield Bellarmine students, and honored standout faculty with teaching awards, strengthening ties between the campus and the wider Fairfield-area community.
   

5. WSHU licensee to sell AM station, translators to Christian broadcaster (current.org) — Sacred Heart University, owner of WSHU in Fairfield, plans to sell its 1260 AM signal and two translators to Christian broadcaster Omega Vision Network for $130,000. The university says the move lets it focus resources on FM and digital services, and will not affect WSHU's commitment to trusted news, classical music, and local programming for Connecticut and Long Island listeners.
