• Fairfield TPZ To Review Plans For Affordable Housing, Traffic And Parking Rules (patch.com) — Fairfield residents have a chance this week to weigh in as the Town Plan and Zoning Commission reviews new affordable housing projects on Greenfield Street and Quincy Street, plus major updates to traffic, parking, and construction safety rules. The meeting at the Fairfield Regional Fire School will also cover accessory apartment changes, industrial and commercial zoning revisions, and public hearing opportunities both in person and via Zoom.
   

• Fairfield starts $8.2 million flood projects after years of Rooster River flooding (ctpost.com) — Fairfield has begun an $8.2 million Rooster River flood-mitigation project, building two detention basins at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course and Tunxis Hill Park with help from Bridgeport, town bonding, and state grants. Officials expect meaningful flood protection by year's end and full completion by spring, with a third dredging phase planned over the next two years.
