Farmington Libraries Adjust Hours Due To Tech Upgrades
Farmington Libraries announced temporary closures and limited online services during a system upgrade.

FARMINGTON, CT — The Farmington Libraries announced temporary schedule changes and limited online services as staff transition to a new library management system expected to launch June 3.
Both library branches were closed on Tuesday, May 26, according to library officials.
The Barney Library is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the Farmington Library branch will reopen on Friday, May 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Officials said both branches will be closed on May 30.

The Farmington Library branch is then expected to operate June 1 and June 2 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
During the system transition, online services including holds, renewals, and account access will be unavailable, officials said.

Patrons visiting the library during the transition are being asked to bring their library cards to check out materials.
Library officials said they expect the new system to go live June 3.
