New Med Spa/Wellness Center Opens In Historic Farmington Neighborhood

FARMINGTON, CT — A new medical spa and wellness practice has opened in Unionville, bringing a range of aesthetic and health-focused services to the former Ryan's Pharmacy building in the village center.
Bloom Apothecary, located at 30 Mill St., celebrated its grand opening May 17 with tours, promotions and giveaways.
The business offers injectable treatments, skincare services, IV therapy, hormone and peptide therapies, weight-loss programs and regenerative medicine treatments.

The practice is owned and operated by Farmington natives Melanie Stepka and Maureen "Mo" Burns.
Stepka, a registered nurse and nurse injector, has more than 13 years of nursing experience, including 10 years as an intensive care nurse and eight years specializing in aesthetic medicine.

Burns, an advanced practice registered nurse and the practice's medical director, has worked in neurology, neurosurgery and critical care medicine.
She is board certified as a cosmetic injector through the American Academy of Cosmetic Medicine.
The owners said Bloom Apothecary aims to combine modern medical spa and wellness services with a personalized approach to care.
The business occupies a prominent location in Unionville's historic center, repurposing the longtime Ryan's Pharmacy building for contemporary aesthetic and wellness treatments.
