• < How more than 1,000 artifacts were found in a dumpster, then returned to Mexico (npr.org) — A Farmington-based high school archaeology teacher helped rescue more than 1,000 pre-Hispanic Mexican artifacts that were discovered in a Western Massachusetts dumpster and then carefully cataloged with his students. After two years of painstaking work, the collection was formally returned to Mexico, giving Farmington teens a rare hands-on role in an international repatriation effort.
