• Farmington HS Student Earns Top Honor In CT Green Energy Program (patch.com) — Farmington residents can celebrate Farmington High School rising senior Rayyan Khalid, who earned a top statewide honor in the Energize Connecticut Green STEP Summer Program's weatherization track. The three-week paid training introduced more than 50 students to green energy careers, with Khalid recognized at a Yale University ceremony and now positioned for future opportunities in Connecticut's growing clean-energy workforce.
   

• FDA OKs Gene Therapy for Glycogen Storage Disease Type Ia (medscape.com subscription) — Farmington's UConn Health Center is home to a leading expert whose decades of work helped pave the way for the FDA's first approved gene therapy for glycogen storage disease type Ia.
