• Journey Tribute Band Headlining Glastonbury Riverfront Music Series Wednesday (patch.com) — Glastonbury residents can enjoy a free Journey tribute concert Wednesday evening at the Riverfront Community Center and Fairgrounds, with shuttles, parking options, and bike access available. The family- and pet-friendly event also supports the Glastonbury Food Pantry, which will accept nonperishable donations at the Parks and Recreation tent.
   

• Middletown-based CT Convention & Sports Bureau (CTMEETINGS) Adds Director of Sports Sales/Marketing Officer (patch.com) — A Glastonbury resident, Chris Grosse, has been named Director of Sports Sales and Chief Marketing Officer for the Middletown-based Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau, which works to attract sports events statewide. His new role focuses on bringing more tournaments and meetings to Connecticut venues, boosting hotel stays, restaurant business, and tax revenue. Grosse brings extensive college athletics marketing experience from UConn, Penn State, Georgetown, and other universities.
