This Town Job In East Granby Is Open

EAST GRANBY, CT — Town of East Granby is accepting applications for a full-time custodian to work in town-owned buildings and on municipal grounds.

The position pays $21 per hour and is open to applicants 18 years of age or older, according to the job posting.

In this role, the custodian is responsible for keeping town facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. Duties include cleaning offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas; sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing floors; removing trash; restocking supplies; and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.

The job also includes routine maintenance of buildings and grounds, such as mowing, snow and ice removal, planting, grounds cleanup, interior cleaning, and minor repairs.

Applicants should have prior custodial or janitorial experience, knowledge of floor care and cleaning techniques, and familiarity with basic facilities maintenance. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate cleaning equipment.
