Need Help With Heating Bills? Granby Shares Options
Eligible households can get help with heating bills; residents who don't qualify can contact Granby Social Services.
GRANBY, CT — Granby is urging residents struggling with heating bills to apply for state assistance, with local help also available for people who do not qualify for the program.
“If you or someone you know is struggling to keep up with energy bills, now is the time to connect with help,” the town said in an Oct. 28 announcement about heating assistance.
The Connecticut Energy Assistance Program, known as CEAP, helps eligible households pay home heating costs. The state lists benefits of $355 to $705 for the 2026-27 season, depending on household size, income and heating source. Payments usually go directly to a utility company or fuel vendor.
