Breast Cancer Alliance To Mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month In Greenwich With Flag-Raising, Symposium

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich-based nonprofit Breast Cancer Alliance will mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a flag-raising ceremony at Greenwich Town Hall at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, followed by a free symposium on life during and after breast cancer treatment.

First Selectman Fred Camillo will join the organization and community partners for the ceremony at Town Hall, 101 Field Point Road.

The symposium, "The Next Chapter. Life After Breast Cancer. Finding Your New Normal," will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Breast Cancer Alliance President Lori Kron will moderate a panel featuring women’s health expert Nicole Sandilands, nutritionist Kerry St. Pierre, pelvic floor therapist Jamie Griffin, oncology survivorship coordinator Heather Studwell and licensed clinical social worker and breast cancer survivor Brooke Dumain.

The program will include audience questions and time to meet the panelists.
