Greenwich Hospital's 'Arc Of Care Campaign' Exceeds $125 Million Goal
The Arc of Care Campaign accelerated a new era of health care innovation at Greenwich Hospital, officials said.
GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Hospital’s Arc of Care Campaign raised $160 million, surpassing its $125 million goal in one of the most significant philanthropic achievements in the hospital’s history, according to the hospital.
The milestone was celebrated at the hospital’s annual benefit on Sept. 25, attended by 450 people at Riverside Yacht Club.
Hundreds of donors, volunteers and community partners supported the campaign to strengthen access to advanced medical care close to home.

"Three years ago, many of us came together to launch the Arc of Care Campaign with an ambitious vision. I am extremely proud and grateful to share that we have exceeded our goal, raising $160 million," said Greenwich Hospital Board Chair W. Robert Berkley, Jr., according to a news release. "This is a remarkable achievement, and it is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community unites around a shared purpose."
The campaign was the hospital’s first in nearly two decades. Investments in oncology, children’s health, neuroscience, heart and vascular care, and behavioral health expanded services, facilities, research, technologies and access to physicians and clinical trials, according to the hospital.

"Every gift no matter the size helped move this campaign forward," said Greenwich Hospital Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer Noël Appel. "We saw throughout this campaign that philanthropy is personal. Our donors are grateful patients, investing in the caregivers, programs, and services that touched their own lives and the lives of those they love."
During the benefit, Susan Salice and William Deutsch received the Greenwich Hospital Luminate Health and Medicine Award for their volunteer leadership, philanthropy and dedication to the campaign.
Physician Honoree Awards were presented to Dr. Barbara Ward, a breast surgeon, and Dr. D. Barry Boyd, a medical oncologist and hematologist, for their work advancing local oncology care.
Hospital leaders said the campaign’s impact would be measured in both the money raised and the lives touched for generations to come.
"Every advancement made possible through this campaign represents a promise to our patients and our community,” said Greenwich Hospital Interim President Dr. Karen Santucci. "Because of the extraordinary generosity of our donors, Greenwich Hospital is better positioned to meet the evolving health care needs of our region with exceptional care, innovative treatments and nationally recognized specialists. Together, this community has helped build a stronger, healthier future for everyone who turns to us in their moments of greatest need."
