In an exclusive interview with People, Kathie Lee Gifford opened up about her decision to sell her waterfront Greenwich home.

GREENWICH, CT — Kathie Lee Gifford is opening up about her decision to place her waterfront Greenwich home on the market.
Gifford moved from Greenwich to Tennessee in 2019. She placed her Riverside home, also known as Cedar Cliff, on the market in May for $100 million.
In an exclusive interview with People, Gifford said the home was where she and her late husband, Frank Gifford, raised their two children, and that it took the family a long time to decide it was time to let the property go.

"We tell everybody that, thank God, we don't need to sell it, but we're ready to," she told People. "It's going to take obviously, a person who's got a whole lot of money, but I've worked on that house for 32 years. Added on everything, made it the house that it is."
Gifford said she had her "heart and soul, and blood, sweat, and tears" in the house, which is located at 108 Cedar Cliff Road.

"But once Frank passed and my kids went off to start their own careers and start their own families, the music went out of the house for me," she said, according to People.
According to the listing from Leslie McElwreath of Sotheby’s International Realty – Greenwich Brokerage, the property occupies the grounds of railroad magnate Henry Francis Shoemaker's former compound and features 1,250 feet of direct water frontage.
"Cedar Cliff is a singular offering for the most discerning buyer—an incomparable experience of refined luxury, inviting residents and their guests to revel in the natural beauty of one of the finest estates on the East Coast of the United States," the listing says.
The home includes eight bedrooms with water views. Interior features include high ceilings, detailed millwork, wood floors, a three-level elevator and a professional recording studio.
An East Wing addition built in the early 2000s includes a primary suite, office, wine cellar and private theater with seating for up to 20 people, according to the listing.
The grounds include a stone pier, deep-water dock, tennis court with lighting and pergola, and a waterfront pool and spa.
The property has undergone a series of updates, including installation of a Ludowici terra cotta roof, rebuilt sun decks, custom East Wing windows and a backup generator, the listing notes.
Frank Gifford and Kathie Lee got married in 1986 and settled in Greenwich, where the two were active in the community for several decades.
Frank Gifford died of natural causes in August 2015 just before his 85th birthday.
According to property records, the home was purchased by the Giffords for $7.8 million in 1994.
Cedar Cliff is currently the most expensive home being offered in Connecticut, with 1233 Rock Rimmon Road in Stamford second at $75 million, according to Zillow.
