Adjusted Property Tax Due Date Announced In Hamden

Officials are alerting residents of the adjusted schedule for the upcoming property tax billing cycle.

HAMDEN, CT — (From Town of Hamden): Town officials are alerting residents of the adjusted schedule for the upcoming property tax billing cycle.

Due to the extended Legislative Council budget adoption period, tax bills that are typically due in July for summer property taxes will be mailed late-July with a due date of Aug. 1, 2026 and a grace period ending Sept. 1, 2026.

  • Online here.
  • Mail-in payments for August and January should be sent to PO Box 150426, Hartford, CT 06115-0426. For all other times of the year, please mail directly to the Tax Office, 2750 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden CT 06518.
  • The Tax Office drop box is located immediately to the right of the Hamden Government Center main entrance to accept tax payments and other Town documents. Deposited contents are secure and collected daily.
  • Payments are accepted in person at the Tax Office, located on the main floor of Hamden Government Center at 2750 Dixwell Avenue. Their regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Credit and debit card payments are not accepted in person.
