New ‘Lifesaving Equipment’ Installed At Hamden Schools

HAMDEN, CT — New outdoor AED boxes have been installed at the Hamden High School and Hamden Middle School athletic fields, “helping ensure quick access to lifesaving equipment during a cardiac emergency.”

“This important project is a collaboration between the Hamden Fire Department and the CJA Charitable Foundation, Inc., established in loving memory of Christopher J. Andreozzi,” officials wrote in a post on the town’s Facebook page. “The foundation works to raise awareness of sudden cardiac death and arrhythmias, promote CPR education, and expand access to AEDs throughout our community.

“We extend our sincere thanks to the Andreozzi family and the CJA Charitable Foundation for turning Christopher’s memory into a legacy that could help save lives.

“Special recognition also goes to newly appointed Hamden Fire Department Captain Michael Deline Jr., who took the lead on this project and saw it through to completion.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make our schools and community a little safer!”
