HAMDEN, CT — Sacred Heart Academy eliminated eighth-seeded Hillhouse with a 50-39 victory in the SCC girls basketball quarterfinals Thursday night in Hamden. With the win, the top-seeded Sharks advanced to a semifinal showdown with No. 5 West Haven at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Shelton High School. Maddy Burke scored a game-high 20 points for Sacred Heart Academy, while Molly Gunning added 11 points and Mila Harmon had 10, according to <a href="https://www.ctinsider.com/projects/gametimect/ct-high-school-sports-scores-schedules-ciac/girls-basketball" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">GameTimeCT</a>.
