Unique Food Hall To Open New Location In Hamden

The rapidly expanding food hall chain is opening a new location in Hamden, according to reports.

HAMDEN, CT — Wonder, a unique micro-food hall chain with locations in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island, is expanding to Hamden, according to multiple reports.

The Connecticut Scoop first reported that Wonder will be located in the Hamden Plaza at 2100 Dixwell Avenue.

Officials confirmed to the New Haven Register that plans call for the former Pretty Women store space to be converted for use as the new food hall. Wonder will be located next door to the new Robeks Fresh Juice & Smoothie.

Wonder serves cuisine from more than two dozen different restaurants at one location.

"We’re on a mission to make great food more accessible," Wonder's website reads. "We started Wonder with the belief that a remarkable dining experience should be readily available to anyone who wants one."

Among the restaurants Wonder serves from include:

Limesalt (Mexican); Tejas Barbecue (BBQ); Fred's Meat & Bread (sandwiches); Yasas by Michael Symon (Mediterranean); Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson (fried chicken); Burger Baby (hamburgers); Wing Trip (chicken wings); Alanza Pizza; Room for Dessert; Alanza (Italian); Detroit Brick Pizza Co.; Bobby Flay Steak (steakhouse); Royal Greens (salads and bowls); Hanu Poke; The Mainstay by Marc Murphy (comfort food); Di Fara Pizza; Walnut Lane (New American); Maydan (Middle Eastern); and Bellies (kids menu).

Wonder currently has Connecticut locations in Milford, Stamford, Fairfield, and Westport, along with halls “coming soon” in Darien, Newington, West Hartford, New Haven, Danbury, and Trumbull, according to its website.
